In Ukraine, a shortage of NPK fertilizers is beginning to be felt. UAH / t (СРТ), the online commodity exchange KYIV MERCANTILE EXCHANGE (KME) reports.
According to experts, NPK from Belarus act rhythmically. But there is no import from other sources yet, but domestic production is growing very slowly.
“Phosphoric fertilizers are being bought back quite actively. At the beginning of July 2019, Sulfoammophos was not enough, the goods were bought by Ukrainian importers from Romania, Bulgaria, even from Turkey. The cost of the product increased to 13 thousand UAH / t, CPT. Competition does not allow raising the price, but in August we expect further growth in prices for NP fertilizers, ”the report said.
Dneproazot and other Ukrainian manufacturers do not wait for carbamide to become cheaper on the foreign market. Now the price is 8.6-8.8 thousand UAH / t for large batches of bulk urea is relevant.
“The price reduction for nitrate is delayed, perhaps in August the situation will become clearer. So far, Russian suppliers have successfully sold lots in August, so the "hole" will be almost invisible and saltpeter can be bought in the near future for introduction in the fall. Another problem is that spring purchases can begin as early as September-October, ”traders say.
The first batch of ammonium sulfate from Belgium has already been delivered to Ukraine, the goods were first sold at 5.9 thousand UAH / t (EXW), now - at 6.4-6.5 thousand. The average price for high-quality granular ammonium sulfate starts from 7 thousand Therefore, the prices of the Belgian product are more than attractive.
By the way, Uzbek and Turkmen urea are actively offered on the Black Sea, but the price of $ 272 / t does not yet meet with positive customer reviews.
