The markets of countries that are potential or already existing consumers of Ukrainian goods are waiting for a certain, well-known assortment of fruits and berries. Thus, Asian countries prefer only certain varieties of apples, such as Red Delicious, Gala, Fuji, etc., said Alexander Yarechenko.

The traditional gardens of Ukraine were not export oriented. Gardeners grew varieties familiar to Ukrainian consumers and supplied them to domestic markets.

Now, most of the producers are forced to reckon with the tastes of foreign consumers and reorient plantings. Gardens are laid already under specific states and processing plants.

In addition, new trends in export reorientation also affected the berry. The berry spends a lot of time on the way and traditional varieties may not withstand transportation. Only new varieties of world selection are suitable for transportation.

This problem can be solved in two ways. The first is the registration of varieties of foreign selection in Ukraine, which will be officially available to Ukrainian producers.
