The Republic of Bashkortostan is entering a new stage in the export of agricultural products. For the first time, the region sends grain through two tankers directly to Iran.

It is known that transportation is scheduled for August 20, 2019. The starting point will be the port of Agidel, from where tankers, passing through the Turkish waters, will deliver cargo to the Iranian market.

It is reported that tankers belong to the "river - sea" class. And if Bashkortostan used to send goods to Iran on river-class vessels, and then grain was loaded in Russian ports on sea vessels, now the situation has changed. As well as reduced transportation costs.

The ministry also noted that the main importers of Bashkir agricultural goods are Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Latvia and Kazakhstan. Half of Bashkir exports are cereals.
