Today, 11.5 thousand tons of pesticides unsuitable for use are stored in different regions of Ukraine, the statement of the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ostap Semerak said.
In accordance with the decision of the government, they can be disposed of abroad. Local governments, using environmental tax funds, have the right to independently involve companies that can collect and dispose of pesticides on this matter, said Ostap Semerak.
He emphasized that this process should be carried out through the PrоZorro system. Such events will be supervised by the State Environmental Inspectorate.
Ostap Semerak emphasized that today the issue of storage and processing of production waste remains very relevant in the context of the comprehensive strategic work carried out by the Ukrainian government in the formation of a new policy for dealing with such waste. Recall that 20-30% of plant protection products in Ukraine turned out to be counterfeit . In the small packaging segment, this number reaches 90%.
