In the village of Zagvozdye, Tysmenitsky district, Ivano-Frankivsk region, corpses and droppings of chickens were thrown out of the poultry farm in places not designated for this purpose. The approximate area of contaminated land was more than 10 hectares.
The Department of Investigation of Particularly Serious Crimes of the National Police in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region opened criminal proceedings on the fact of illegal placement of dead birds and bird droppings on the lands of the Zagvozdyansky Village Council.
“During the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers found that officials of one of the private companies in Ivano-Frankivsk region, abusing their official position, illegally disposed of production waste (corpses of poultry, bird droppings) on land not designated for waste disposal sites on the territory of the Zagvozdyansky village council ", - the message says.
As a result, land plots were contaminated with substances and waste that threaten the environment, life and human health.
During an authorized search of the enterprise, investigators seized the documentation. During inspections of land plots, soil, water and air samples were seized for environmental review.
