Today, farmers in the Stavropol Territory - a really hot time. The fact is that local farmers are currently engaged in a very useful business: the corn sowing process is in the active phase.
According to employees of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, today in the objects of various categories of Stavropol, corn lands are sown with enormous territories. It is an area of almost 33 thousand hectares. It is noteworthy that this figure is more than 22% of the area that is planned for sowing corn in 2019 in this region.
The plans of Stavropol agrarians include sowing 146 thousand hectares of corn fields. It will not be superfluous to note that the farmers of the Kursk region of the Stavropol Territory coped with the task of sowing corn in 2019 in full. Together, they sowed 400 hectares.
The farmers of the Aleksandrovsky district are no less active: they managed to sow 4.5 thousand ha with corn, which corresponds to 64% of the planned territories of this municipality. Agrarians of the Trunovsky district coped by 48%, sowing 3.1 thousand hectares with solar grains. The indicator of the Georgievsky district is almost 39% and almost 5 thousand hectares.
According to Andrei Oleinikov, the first deputy head of the Stavropol Ministry of Agriculture, agrarians of the Kirov city district sowed corn with a total area of 1.1 thousand hectares. Farmers of the Krasnogvardeisky district managed to sow exactly the same amount. The agrarians of the region do not intend to stop on what has been achieved and plan to turn their region this year into the cradle of high-quality corn.
