Local residents opposed the construction of a thermal power plant in the village of Tepenitsa, Olevsky district, Zhytomyr region. Information about this appeared on the site of the Olevsk general relativity.
The construction of a thermal power plant was proposed by the doctor of technical sciences, who heads the department of alternative fuel technology at the Gas Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Konstantin Pyanykh, who is involved in the implementation of his projects.
According to the developer, he was going to implement his technology, previously tested in laboratory conditions. It consists in receiving gas from dry chips, which then burns inside the internal combustion engine.Under the terms of the project, Konstantin Pyanykh intended to install five engines. They wanted to buy raw materials for their work locally. According to the developer, chips are available on the lands of the community, but so far the local business is selling them to other communities and areas.
Residents of the village of Tepenitsa did not side with the scientist and unanimously voted against the construction of a thermal power plant. As the peasants themselves say, they fear that the emergence of an innovative power plant will worsen the environmental situation in the village.
