On the territory of agricultural enterprises of South Ossetia, it enters the final direct campaign for mass vaccination of cattle. It is known that cows were vaccinated against such an ailment as nodular dermatitis.

In addition, the department notes that the process of mass vaccination started in the region in February this year. And at the moment, the serum that was provided to herders on a free basis has been injected into more than seventy individuals of cattle in the open spaces of livestock farms of different ownership forms.

It will not be superfluous to note that vaccinations against nodular dermatitis are planned in the republic. For the first time, such a campaign for South Ossetian cows was carried out last year.

The outbreak of mass vaccination was caused by outbreaks of nodular dermatitis in cows in the settlements of the Tskhinvali region and on the territory of Znaursky lands.

The end of the vaccination campaign as part of the prevention of nodular dermatitis is scheduled for the end of summer 2019. However, South Ossetian cows will not be able to breathe a sigh of relief - starting in September they will be vaccinated against such insidious ailments as anthrax and foot and mouth disease.
