Andrey Mindzya from the village of Gribovitsa, Ivanichevsky District, Volyn Region, opened the production of berries using German technology. Over 8 years he has been farming and expanding his land annually.
The Volyn farmer is constantly learning, drawing on experience from colleagues from Poland, and also visits farms in order to introduce new effective technologies in his farm.
Berries Andrei Mindzia grows in open ground using straw according to German technology, which does not include the use of film, irrigation and ridges.
Using this technology allows the farmer to get up to 15-20 tons of crop per hectare. At the same time, straw performs the function of controlling weediness and protects against frost. According to technology per 1 ha, a large amount of straw must be introduced - 10 tons.
It protects plantations from frost and allows you to control plant growth in the spring. When using this technology, manual labor is minimized, which allows you to increase the price when picking berries by hired workers.
Earlier it was reported that residents of Ukraine began to consume more berries out of season, as evidenced by statistics. Most of all, Ukraine imports blueberries. In 2018, the country purchased more than 120 tons of blueberries from other countries. And 4 years ago, this berry was almost not imported.
