It is noteworthy that the volume of fat production is also falling. According to analysts, today Ukraine buys at least twenty times more fat than it sells itself. The main suppliers of pork delicacy to the Ukrainian shelves today are Germany and Poland. “For the first half of 2018, Poland imported about 6 thousand tons of fat into our country,” Ukrainian analysts say. “Germany for the same period delivered to Ukraine a little less than 5.5 tons of the same product.”

The decline in pork production in Ukraine is associated with the fact that farmers consider this occupation unprofitable in the current conditions - the profit practically does not cover the costs.
