Agricultural enterprises of Ukraine increased the volume of poultry cultivation.

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, from January to March this year, Ukrainian poultry farmers raised 391.3 thousand tons of live weight birds. The absolute leader in the poultry industry has become the Vinnitsa region.

In the first 3 months of this year, Vinnitsa farmers were able to grow 125.7 thousand tons of live weight poultry, which is 32.7% of the total number in Ukraine. In second place in the ranking of the best poultry farmers settled Cherkasy region, where 100.8 thousand tons of live weight birds were obtained.

The third place in the leader list belongs to the Dnipropetrovsk region with a result of 63.3 thousand tons. Earlier it was reported that as of April 1 of this year, the number of poultry raised in Ukraine increased by 3.7% and amounted to 204.8 million heads.

During 2018, Ukrainian enterprises exported 328 thousand tons of poultry meat, which amounted to $ 506.6 million in monetary terms. According to experts, chicken export from Ukraine increased by 123% over 3 years. The most active buyers of the Ukrainian product were Slovakia, Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands.
