According to the estimates of agricultural analysts, in May 2019, the Russian Federation managed to export about three hundred twenty-nine thousand tons of oil from sunflower seeds for export.

It is noteworthy that this indicator exceeds the volume of shipments of the previous month (April 2019) by thirty-five percent. Experts note that the May volume is a record, when compared with the entire history of shipments of the Russian Federation.

It is important to add that in May of this year, the number of shipments of sunflower oil to a country such as Iran increased significantly. Indeed, back in April, half the production was shipped to the Iranian market, and within a month the shipment volume amounted to about one hundred six thousand tons, which can also be considered a real record among shipments to one country.

It will not be out of place to note that the volume of oil export from Russia to Egypt increased (over seventy percent), where about fifty eight thousand tons of products went in May.

Demands for Russian sunflower oil are increasing, and in Turkey - deliveries doubled and amounted to fifty-five thousand tons of shipment in May 2019.

It should be emphasized that over the past nine months, the Russian Federation shipped over one million nine hundred thousand tons of sunflower oil to the foreign market. And this is thirteen percent more than in the same period of the previous season.
