The Ministry of Agriculture of Moldova predicts the end of the harvesting campaign in the country in the coming days.
Indeed, the harvesting of early grains came to the finish line. This information was shared by Marine Grama, who is a senior consultant at the Department of Plant Production and Quality Control of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic.
The expert noted that to date, over ninety-five percent of the plan originally planned for the season has been completed, and now we can safely say that the Moldavian agrarians worked out a colossal territory of three hundred thirty seven thousand hectares.
Together, they managed to harvest from ninety-eight percent of the area of spring and winter barley - twelve thousand two hundred hectares and forty-six thousand seven hundred hectares, respectively.
In total, more than one million one hundred thousand tons of wheat and at least one hundred eighty-one thousand tons of barley were threshed.
Analysts, having studied the data obtained from farmers, came to the conclusion that the average yield in Moldavian fields is equal to four thousand tons of wheat and three thousand seven hundred tons of barley.
Marine Gram emphasizes that this year's grain harvest is rated as good. And even the negative impact of weather conditions affected crop yields is not critical.
